Distance & Obstacle Discrimination Class
Distance Work & Verbal Obstacle Discrimination
| Goals: |
The purpose of this class is to teach the dog
to be comfortable working at a distance and to teach
handlers how to run parallel paths. Layering, and the use
of converging and diverging paths will be covered as well.
Other skills taught include verbal discrimination of
obstacles, and to help handlers how to navigate obstacle
"traps". ROTATING CLASS OUTLINE -- A DIFFERENT SET OF
EXERCISES WILL BE USED EACH SESSION. This class is held
outdoors in our fully-fenced and lighted regulation-sized
arena. Note: This is a workshop style course, so dogs will
be crated or tethered while handlers learn theory or walk
the course. Please bring your own crate if you prefer.
